The 2015 Acura TLX is a big deal for Acura. So big, that the Japanese luxury brand has announced the TLX marketing campaign will be the biggest in its history. Centered on the theme "It's that kind of thrill," the spots will highlight the TLX's luxury refinement and sporty performance, and we get a sneak peek at the commercials scheduled to air early next week.

Titled "My Way," the first commercial focuses the development of the midsize sedan, with clips shot onsite at Acura's R&D and manufacturing facilities. This commercial shows us how the Acura team designed the TLX from the ground up, and the harsh testing conditions, like snow and powersliding on a wet tarmac. Another spot describes "that kind of thrill" as whatever Ludacris is doing, while another says that kind of thrill is equivalent to what a Spanish matador is feeling before coming face-to-face with a bull. In total, there are six spots, and you can watch them all in the videos below. Since it's Acura's biggest campaign, the Japanese brand is also using Twitter and Facebook to get the word out about the 2015 Acura TLX.

The commercials will begin airing this Sunday, August 17 and will run until fall. As a refresher, the 2015 Acura TLX is available with two updated engines: the familiar 2.4-liter I-4, now with direct injection for 206 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque, and the direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 with 290 hp and 267 lb-ft. The former is paired to Acura?s new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the V-6 gets the brand?s first nine-speed automatic.
